Guid Crack: Ghostly Tales

Join us online for the third of three sessions of Edinburgh’s long-running storytelling night, with a special guest storyteller each time and the usual open-floor opportunity to share a tale of your own. Ghostly Tales with guest Pauline Cordiner Pauline is a storyteller from the fishing and farming traditions of the North East of Scotland and enjoys telling a variety of traditional Scottish tales, fairy tales, folk tales creation myths and the occasional home-grown tale of her own. Tonight, however, is all about Hallowe'en as we invite you to join Pauline in sharing the most gruesome, gory and terrifying tales you know!

Lanarkshire Folk Tales - Our Ancestors’ Journeys with guest Allison Galbraith Allison Galbraith celebrates her book Lanarkshire Folk Tales (History Press), a collection of tales spanning fourteen centuries of Lanarkshire's history and happenings. Expect the usual feuding druids, totemic animals, warlocks, herb-wives and elfin trickery from Allison as she entertains with stories from this beguiling collection.

Join us online for the first of three sessions of Edinburgh’s long-running storytelling night, with a special guest storyteller each time and the usual open-floor opportunity to share a tale of your own. You Won’t Believe What Happened Next! With guest storyteller Michael Williams Life is full of surprises – twists and turns, ups and downs, ins and outs. Our stories attempt to describe these unexpected events and express the confusion, astonishment, and wonder that so often accompanies them. Come and tell a story – a life experience, a folktale, myth, or legend – that takes your audience on a journey into the realm of the unanticipated. A booking fee of £1.25 is charged per transaction for online and phone bookings.
