Birks Cinema invites you to a double event about swans, their migrations and the stories they carry.

Flight of the Swans (1hr): A film screening about the Bewick’s swans and their annual migration. Followed by discussion with film protagonist and producer Sacha Dench.
The Swan Woman (2hrs): Finnish storyteller Anna-Maria Toivonen and Scottish storyteller Claire Hewitt weave swan lore, songs and stories from their traditions around a magical transformation tale from the North.

Discover a rich programme of local storytelling events, from the southwest to the very north of Scotland through Go Local as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2025.
