Dragon Tale
Go Local: Glasgow
(Thu 17 Oct: 2pm - Glasgow)
A girl faces a dragon, songs and stories are her armour and weapons. Join storyteller Daiva Ivanauskaitė-Brown for a magical tale about courage, friendship and dreams of a peaceful and green future. Tales and tunes from Lithuania and Scotland come together, with live music from Gaynor Barradell. The audience will be invited to draw and tell their stories, which the dragon might like to hear.

2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival, coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Since 1989, SISF has been building bridges between cultures, artists and audiences all over the world through the power of storytelling – connecting past, present and future. This year’s theme is ‘Bridges Between’. At a time where literal, figurative and societal walls continue to be constructed, we invite everyone to look beyond these boundaries and to celebrate the last and the next 35 years of storytelling with us.
This event is hosted by the Village Storytelling Centre at Greater Pollok Community Hub, 27 Brockburn Road, G52 5BG and is free but ticketed. For bookings and info email info@swampglasgow.co.uk or call 0141 882 3250.
