An intimate, confessional and occasionally boisterous storytelling show about conspiracy theories, mob mentality and the changes just one person can make. Meet Jenny Geddes, the 17th century Edinburgh grocer who hurled a stool at a minister, sending Scotland hurtling down the path towards the Covenanters' War.

The world that Jenny occupies is a fearful one. Information is spreading in new ways, ordinary people are navigating an influx of influence that they've not been equipped to process, a significant handful of well-placed people are manipulating what people read and hear and think. The country is split on matters of belief, tensions are high and trust is low. The weather is wrecking the harvests and Scotland is bedevilled with outbreaks of deadly disease. People fear their way of life is under threat from people who don't look and sound like them, and they cling to folk belief and magical thinking to give themselves hope.

Jenny Geddes might be a 17th century woman, but she's also everyone who has ever felt that they're too small, too busy, too inexpert and too scared to deal with life. She never expected to make a call to action that anyone would hear. Now that she has, what is she supposed to do? What can she do, as it becomes increasingly clear that she’s caught up in events much bigger than she is?
