The ancient Greek myth of Psyche and Eros has travelled beyond centuries from North Africa to Europe. This collaboration of story and music resonates with our modern lives. Featuring storyteller Dawne McFarlane and musicians Maryem Tollar and Sophia Grigoriadis. Maryem and Sophia play Arabic, Greek and original music on instruments that have travelled as far as the story, across land and sea and into our hearts.

An international celebration of the art form of oral storytelling, its interaction with cultural tradition and its contemporary renaissance worldwide. Each Art of the Storyteller event includes a performance - usually with an interval, open discussion and commentary on creative storytelling development. Hosted by Festival Director Donald Smith.
